New Grind for 2021 The Red Shift Cams® RS528 was developed off of the success of the RS527 cam, with a new ramp designed specifically to provide a moderately less aggressive ramp to produce a smoother power curve with an exceptionally quite operation in late model Twin Cam Engines. The power curve characteristics are similar to the RS527

Delivery of smooth and impressive torque and horsepower increases over the factory installed cams are to be expected. This High-Torque cam is designed to get the motorcycle accelerating quicker in the RPM area where most people ride.

Red Shift Cams® RS528 Cams have a unique design feature which produces an extremely fast and turbulent inlet charge in the combustion chamber at low RPMs. Inducing turbulence in the chamber as early as possible is part of the secret to the RS527’s tremendous success. This equates to immediate throttle response and acceleration in RPMs earlier than other cams.

  • Use with stock or adjustable pushrods
  • Use 07- Up part number for 2006 FXD engines
  • Chain drive- use Red Shift Cams® Dual Piston Cam Chain Tensioners (#413-901) for improved cam chest component reliability, maximum throttle response, and reduced valve train noise.
  • New cam bearings and performance tappets recommended with any cam change.

5 reviews for Red Shift Cams® RS528 for Twin Cam®

We have been very impressed with this cam grind. The reduction of valve train noise is the first thing we noticed. The roll on low end and mid range power these cams produce is more than impressive. We have had the opportunity to make a few installs with VERY happy clients.

  2. Ron Duncan

I have a 2015 RGS that I upgraded the cam chest on but still had noise that I was not satisfied with. I then installed the RS528 chain drive and could not be happier. The engine is so quiet compared to the original install that I could not be happier. The performance is very impressive, especially on the low and mid range areas. Would highly recommend this camshaft upgrade to anyone that wants a performance improvement and a valve-train that is even quieter than stock. The RS528 will not disappoint. Thank you Zippers for an awesome product.

I use alot of Zippers products for upgrades in my customers bikes. So far for the tour guys the RS528 cams has hit the nail on the head. Great tour cam but the feature they all talk about is the fuel mileage. Most of the time performance means a loss of mileage but to see a gain of 4 to 7 miles per gallon diffently a plus

Over the past year, We have gotten to use the Redshift 528 cams on some late model Twin Cam baggers and have been VERY pleased with the results. Super quiet valve train and smooth linear power across the board. Compared to some other “bolt in” camshafts from different manufactures that we have gotten to use, the RS528 seems to stand out from the rest and is our “go to” grind.
