Red Shift Cams® Performance Cams for 1999-2006 Twin Cam® Engines

This venerable cam is designed for big engine performance enthusiasts who require a wide, usable power curve and strong top end charge while maintaining excellent valve control.

The RS647 offers good valve train dynamics while providing power for severe duty applications. Use this cam only with modified engines with high compression, high flow heads, intake and exhaust systems.

The RS647 are only recommended for LARGE DISPLACMENT engines. Pump gas applications compression range is a minimum of 10.5- additional compression, closer to 10.8 to 11:1 is ideal FOR PUMP GAS applications;

Lower TDC lifts helps engine builders fit this cam in heads with tight valve to valve parameters.

Additional lift can be realized with higher rocker ratios.

  • Requires adjustable or cut to fit pushrods
  • Available in chain & gear drive for Early and Late model engines
  • Chain drive- Use Red Shift Cams® Dual Piston Cam Chain Tensioners (#413-901) for improved cam chest component reliability, maximum throttle response and reduced valve train noise.
  • Use 07- Up part number for 2006 FXD engines
  • New cam bearings and Race tappets required.
