The RS527 is an extremely popular High-Torque cam for 96” and 103” engines. They deliver smooth, impressive torque and horsepower increases over factory installed cams. This cam has great throttle response and is designed to get the motorcycle accelerating quicker in the RPM area where most people ride with early midrange power that pulls cleanly from 2,200 to 6200 RPM.
- Use with stock or adjustable pushrods
- Available in chain & gear drive for Early and Late model engines
- Use 07- Up part number for 2006 FXD engines
- Chain drive- use Red Shift Cams® Dual Piston Cam Chain Tensioners (#413-901) for improved cam chest component reliability, maximum throttle response, and reduced valve train noise.
- New cam bearings and performance tappets recommended with any cam change.

After emails with zippers about cam options for my 2015 street glide special. i went with the rs527. The bike has stock heads etc. wanted a cam with a safe lift. had them installed and bike was tuned with a dyno jet base map. The dyno numbers were not as high as what is on the the chart. Ended up with 84 HP and 104 TQ . very happy with the cams, no down shifting required to pass, pulls good in every gear. when its time to do any engine upgrades will definately consider one of the zippers options available. a very satisfied customer from CANADA.
