Overview

525-HS:Extremely popular Early (High)-Torque for 96” and 103” Twin Cam® engines with stock, unmodified heads. Perfect for 96” and 103” 2007-Up Touring models, this cam was developed to deliver immediate passing power in 6th gear at any typical cruising speed. Power starts before 2000 RPM – Bolt-In, Can be used with stock or adjustable pushrods.

Red Shift® Performance Cams for 2007-Up* Twin Cam Engines
The stroked crankshaft in the 96” engine changes the dynamic from 2006 and earlier model 88” engines, making correct cam choice crucial to avoid engine damaging detonation with today’s fuel quality. Spring work required unless otherwise noted as a bolt-in cam. We recommend new cam bearings and performance tappets with any cam change. *These cams can also be used in 2006 FXD engines

Red Shift® 525 cams have a unique design feature which produces an extremely fast and turbulent inlet charge in the combustion chamber at low RPMs. Inducing turbulence in the chamber as early as possible is the secret to the 525’s tremendous results. This equates to immediate throttle response and acceleration in RPMs, lower than ever before possible on a stock 2007-up Twin Cam® engine.

Mountains? Passengers? Heavy Trikes? No Problem! Red Shift® 525 cams are the perfect Touring model cams. These cams take a stock 96” or 103” engine and turn it into an extremely fun to ride, quick to accelerate performance machine. Red Shift® 525 cams are the industry’s most powerful bolt-in cam for engines with unmodified heads. No more upshift-downshift to get over a hill, just put the bike in 6th gear and turn the throttle to get power when you need it!

Recommended: Use with Red Shift® Dual Piston Cam Chain Tensioners for improved cam chest component reliability, maximum throttle response, and reduced valve train noise.

Red Shift® 525 Cams are BAD A$$... Zipper’s Performance has built the best cam for your lazy, hot 96" 6 speed Bagger. It all started with the wife complaining of the heat on her leg from the stock pipes… We all know how hot the '07 baggers are! So, I took this as the OK to do my upgrades. I did my homework first and this is what we (the great sales team at Zipper’s and I) put together: D&D 2-1 Fat Cat back cut exhaust, ThunderMax® with Auto Tune and wide band O2 sensors, Red Shift® dual piston cam chain tensioners, and the New Red Shift® 525 Cams. WOW!!! This thing is blast to ride, with great sound from the pipe. My bike quick starts, throttle response is great, and the engine runs cooler. You will not believe the low end torque from the new Red Shift 525 cam! The cams start working at 1800-2000 RPM's and are still pulling above 4 grand! No more down shifting to pass for me, and I get the jump on my buds with all the big cams waiting on RPM's...Thanks Zipper’s!!! (Posted on 10/13/2015)

I just wanted to let you guys know that the ThunderMax® install with Red Shift® 525 cams, 2-1 exhaust pipe, and MAXFlow air cleaner is awesome! Big difference! My bike starts easier when hot, runs much smoother, and has a boat load of torque from just above idle and up. Another great job from the folks at Zipper’s Performance! (Posted on 10/13/2015)

Did the 525 Cam Install in my 15 Road Glide. Coming from an 07 Road Glide with Joe Minton 103 Build with Andrews 21 Cams, which I liked very much. New Bike with with stock compression would not except the Andrews 21 Cams, so I researched for a cam to match, found an article on Bandit's Bikernet.com by a guy named Rogue. This Cam upgrade is not for High Dyno number guys, but better performance in the real world of riding on back road twisty's and freeway passing etc. I enjoy riding my New Bike more with these cams than the new high output cams everyone is talking about on the new Street Glide and Road Glides. Have had the 525 cams installed in my 07 Road king for a week now. Not a bad upgrade so far. When I go to pass a car on the high way in 6th gear at 70 mph I now hit 90 mph instead of 80 with the stock cams. You really notice the cams kick in when in 4th gear and roll on the throttle. Good choice if you want more power without doing cylinder and head work. I have had the Thunder Max with Auto Tune for sometime now . So it was nice not to have to re-map. (Posted on 6/8/2015)
