Overview

527-TC: New High-Torque design for the 1999-2006 engines. Developed as a bolt-in cam for 88-95-98 CI engines for 2005-2006 engines (requires a valve spring change for 1999-2004 engines). Delivers smooth and impressive torque and horsepower increases over the factory installed cams. This High-Torque cam is designed to get the motorcycle accelerating quicker in the RPM area where most people ride. Can be used with stock or adjustable pushrods. Early sprocket, gear drive option coming soon.

Red Shift® Performance Cams for 1999-2006 Twin Cam® Engines
527-TC: New High-Torque design for the 1999-2006 engines. Developed as a bolt-in cam for 88-95-98 CI engines for 2005-2006 engines (requires a valve spring change for 1999-2004 engines). Delivers smooth and impressive torque and horsepower increases over the factory installed cams. This High-Torque cam is designed to get the motorcycle accelerating quicker in the RPM area where most people ride. Can be used with stock or adjustable pushrods. Early sprocket, gear drive option coming soon.

For use with 88, 95 and 98” engines with modified or unmodified heads (requires a valve spring change for '99-'04 engines). Great throttle response with early midrange power that pulls cleanly from 2,200 to 6200 RPM.

Designed for use with stock or adjustable pushrods.

Can be used with O.E. cam chain spring or updated hydraulic tensioners. If considering a hydraulic tensioner upgrade, we recommended Red Shift® Dual Piston Cam Chain Tensioners for improved cam chest component reliability, maximum throttle response, and reduced valve train noise.

Red Shift® 527 Cams have a unique design feature which produces an extremely fast and turbulent inlet charge in the combustion chamber at low RPMs. Inducing turbulence in the chamber as early as possible is part of the secret to the 527’s tremendous success. This equates to immediate throttle response and acceleration in RPMs earlier than other cams.

With a properly set up 95” engine (good pipes, head modifications and a tuner), there is no need for lower gearing or a 6-speed transmission to help your cycle accelerate with this cam. You will be impressed with the results!
